In industrial design, manufacturing time is intangible and valuable. Time must always be optimized. Processes must be reduced to a minimum, unnecessary repetitions must be eliminated, and idle time must be optimized.

Hiperpintura is a collectable experimental furniture line from Grupo Bondi composed of 9 unique and unrepeatable pieces. It is made by successive layers of thermosetting powder paint on a metal structure. The hundreds of layers of paint that a robot continuous- ly painted, one on top of the other, uninterruptedly for three months, ultimately generate a unique material volume. The paint ceases to function as a finish and begins to be a material in itself, moldable and machin- able.

This collection explores the interstice between sculpture and furniture, between heavy industrial production and craftsmanship, between productive time and extended time.
