The exhibition Life is Hard, But Not That Hard, a title that ironically refers to the artifice and illusion in their designs, is curated by the great pop artist Edgardo Giménez.
He himself defines Bondi as “a child full of surprises.” Surprise is a key element in these designs: one believes it is one thing, but gets closer and discovers it is something else.
The artist claims humor as an element often absent in design and argues that if the viewer does not take the same humorous position when viewing these designs, they cannot enjoy the com- plicity that the work offers. Bondi encourages us to create a system of alliances, pleasure, and association while whispering in our ear that to enter the world of fantasy, we must trust and believe.
The exhibition explores seven emblematic pieces/ products created by Grupo Bondi between 2008 and 2018 that are the Hyperrealistic Concret line of products, the Hieleras Hielos Argentinos, the Bears, the Chori bench, the Chango grill, the Plaka chair and the Wonder Mates.

More with Less.
Getting more with less is one of the imperatives that Argentine design faces every day to survive. The collective (Bondi), led by young industrial designers Iván López Prystajko and Eugenio Gómez Llambí, succeeds in this and more. Formed through the Industrial Design program at UBA, they carry within their DNA the traces of that ascetic and stimulating territory where every day, through academic rigor, one must invent ways to overcome a new complexity.
The Bondi team is a rare blend of apparent contradictions, disadvantages, and uncertainties. Their city seating is an invitation to surprise us and recognize ourselves in a democratic and plural public space. Far from the ephemeral and artificial world of "special effects," their objects come from the "essential affective side," the one that appeals to memories, senses, our successes, failures, and deep loves. It is there that the added value lies, where maturity, sensitivity, and humor save us from falling into imposture and ridicule. Grupo Bondi arrives at the Museo Decora- tivo, bringing with them the instructive lightness of a subtle, ironic, concrete, and possible Argen- tine design.
